Wavegarden Scotland

Architecture, VR

We created photorealistic visuals and virtual reality for Scotland’s first inland surf destination, Wavegarden Scotland, which is set within a country park in Ratho, Edinburgh. Our exterior visualisation renders bring the facility to life and illustrate how it will sit within the existing landscape.

Client: Tartan Leisure Ltd

Landscape Architect: HarrisonStevens

Brief: We were commissioned to produce photorealistic visuals and Virtual Reality (VR) imagery from the plans for an exciting new leisure destination, Wavegarden Scotland.

Background: Wavegarden Scotland will be the countries first inland surf destination. Using an innovative product called ‘The Cove’ delivered by Wavegarden, higher frequency, better quality and more consistent waves will provide a premium surfing experience ideal for both learners and experienced surfers alike. This world class facility will also include complimentary activities, a cafe/restaurant and different accommodation options, all set within a country park in Ratho, to the west of Edinburgh.

Approach: We created photorealistic computer generated images and VR visuals of the Wavegarden Scotland site from the landscape architects’ plans. These exterior visualisation shots illustrate the look and feel of the proposed facility and demonstrate how it will sit within the existing landscape. Our landscape renders have been used to aid planning permission applications and for marketing and PR purposes.

Services: Exterior Visualisation / Virtual Reality
