Working with Thirst drinks design agency, we created a virtual Aruban beach for Caribbean beer, Chill. Our photorealistic computer generated product visuals include daytime and sunset lighting conditions, and we used a fluid simulation to produce waves around the product placed in the sand.

Brief: We were asked by drinks design agency Thirst to produce visuals for the Caribbean beer Chill. The brief included recreating an Aruban beach complete with simulated waves.
Background: Chill was once Aruba’s favourite beer, but its outdated design meant it had lost its edge in a competitive market. When Chill asked Thirst to update and re-energise its beloved beach beer, they came up with a brand identity and packaging design based on what the Caribbean island is famous for: sun, sand, sea and fun.
Approach: We created product visuals of the range of beers made by Chill showcasing the updated packaging design. We produced a photorealistc beach backdrop for the images with both daytime and sunset lighting conditions. We also used a fluid simulation to add waves moving around the product placed on the sand.
