Storywood Tequila
We produced a series of photorealistic computer generated images for the launch of Storywood Tequila. In our product visuals, we created a virtual 3D environment with the look and feel of Mexico. In addition to being used for the product launch, our product renders are now a part of Storywood’s print and digital strategy and also feature as pack shots on online retail sites such as Amazon.
Storywood Tequila
Client: Thirst
Brief: We were commissioned by Thirst drinks design agency to produce a series of product visuals showcasing their designs for Storywood Tequila.
Background: Storywood Tequila is a new and unique tequila, made in Mexico but aged in ex-Scotch whisky barrels to unlock new flavours. It is the product of two cultures and two national drinks combined: to reflect this Thirst took inspiration from Mexico’s brightly painted buildings and the bold numbering and lettering of Scottish whisky bottles to create a striking colour palette and an eye-catching label with the slogan “Live free, sip slow”.
Approach: We produced a series of photorealistic computer generated images of the full range of Storywood tequilas to showcase Thirst’s packaging designs. We placed the bottles in a virtual 3D environment created to look and feel like Mexico by using harsh sunlight and distressed plaster walls paired with aged timber. In addition to being used for the product launch, our images are now a part of Storywood’s print and digital strategy and also feature as pack shots on online retail sites such as Amazon.
